Linda Evans Obituary

On Sunday, November 7, 2021, Lynn peacefully left our world to join her father Richard, her mother Charlotte, husband Dave, and sister-in-law Karen. She leaves behind her adored and devoted partner Sylvia Johnston who loved and cared for her for the past 22 years. Lynn will be greatly missed by Sylvia's children Clark (Silvia) and Trent, cherished granddaughter Naomi, her brother Dick Gallagher (Ruth) and sister Marlene Gravefell (late George). She will also be missed by her fur baby Timmy. Lynn's kindness, generosity and incredible sense of humor will be forever remembered by her extended family and many friends she made in life and during her long career at the City of Hamilton.
Many thanks to Kelly and Margaret at Juravinski Hospital who went above and beyond to provide Lynn with loving care. A private memorial will be arranged at a later date. In Lynn's memory, donations to Hamilton Food Share or Animal Adoptions of Flamborough are appreciated. Condolences, memories and photos may be left at circleoflifecbc.com

I knew Linda from years ago at the City of Hamilton and then the Region. She was so kind and caring. She saw some individuals bullying me and stepped in. She had had gone through some tough times with Dave but was there by my side. Linda or Lyn as I knew her was above the crowd and an amazing person. I am so sorry to hear she has gone but so happy to hear she found a life partner. Linda you made the world a better place. Allane

I met Lynn in 1969 at Macassa Lodge where she was working on the housekeeping staff and going to school at the same time. We became friends, and have been for the past 52 years. We shared an apartment till she and Dave got married. I did stay with her mom and dad till I got married. She was fun and athletic and she always had my back. I am really going to miss her, a true friend.

Good Memories of my childhood in this family house. If it was paying cards with Lynn’s mom cheating for my pennie or having permission by Lynn to play on the pinball machine down in the basement. The door was always open, and one of my mothers closest friend Lynn will be missed.
