Lisa Dixon Obituary

It is with profound sorrow we announce the passing of our amazing wife, mother and Nana, Lisa Dianne Dixon (nee Harries), at the age of 69, in Brockville, Ontario, on May 3, 2022. Lisa was born in Allentown, PA, and lived her life in Ontario, where she met the love of her life, Ross Dixon. They shared 40 wonderful years together. Lisa lived life on her own terms. She was artistic and creative—we all have something beautiful in our homes that she made with her own loving hands. She could teach herself anything. All she needed was a book about how to do it. After she had read all the books that were needed, she then taught herself how to publish them herself! She was a fearless entrepreneur who was also passionate about politics, technology and history. She was a woman of many talents. She even learned how to care for hospice patients, and treated them with kindness, empathy and warmth. She travelled extensively, from LA to the City of Light, with her Sweetie Pie. She adored her doggies and always adopted the ones that needed her the most. She loved them just as they were. Lisa was considered a best friend by many people.

Remarkably witty, funny, loving and so very warm, she was everything a "Pink Lady" should be. Lisa loved her family tremendously. She was a fierce defender of everyone she loved and taught us to always circle the wagons. You could always count on Lisa for a pearl of wisdom just when you needed it most. Left to carry on her legacy are her little duckies Lisa, Candy, Michelle, Jodi, Daniel, Paul and Lynn, as well as her many ducklings and hatchlings. Wherever she was, was home for us all.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your favourite animal charity. A private ceremony will be held. The family would like to thank the staff at Brockville General Hospital for their compassionate care. We love you and we'll see you at the window.

Even though the years have passed, Lisa had the "ability" to pop into my thoughts.....always with the beauty of childhood! As cousins, I am touched to read what a wonderful woman Lisa grew into....and touching lives.
