Lorraine MIKSZA Obituary

Peacefully passed away on May 8, 2021 at the age of 63. Beloved wife of the late John Stevenson (1999). Predeceased by her father Chet Miksza (1975). Will be greatly missed by mother, Mary Miksza-Dyack; sisters Karen Miksza and Rosemarie Todd (Bob); and her brother Dr. Jason Miksza (Dorothea). Proud Aunt of Alex, Michael & Kirsten. Lori will also be dearly missed by her aunts and many cousins. Lori worked at the M.T.O. (St. Catharine's) and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Lori was involved with the Burlington Rifle and Revolver Club, and the Shooting Federation of Canada (25 years). She was also a volunteer at Joseph Brant Hospital for 18 years and the T.O. General. She was a regular volunteer at the shooting range at the Sportsman Show and at our local cat shows. Lori was born with a congenital heart defect; she managed her condition with courage, strength and grace and we were all lucky to have had her in our lives this long. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to The Toronto General Hospital - Peter Munk Cardiac Centre would be greatly appreciated.

My deepest condolences. I have had the pleasure of knowing Lori since 2004 through the lab at JBH. We shared many laughs and stories; from Her dad's Ti-Cat days to her most recent complaints about her new car beeping at her all the time (the lane assist!) She was incredibly kind and thoughtful bringing in Strawberry rhubarb pie for us and gifting me with some sportsman show pins every year (which I display on my work lanyard since the day she gave them to me) Going to miss you Lori, may you rest in paradise.
