Lorraine Parow Obituary

Photographer extraordinaire Lorraine Parow's life didn't come to an end with her death.
Lorraine, who was born on May 5,
1959, passed away on September 8, 2022, at the age of 63, after a well fought and courageous battle; in the city that she loved: Toronto.
Her photographs will still hang in the AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario), and Toronto City
Hall long after she is gone . Lorraine has also written and published many books, and her beautiful photos have been reproduced in many magazines. She loved contributing to The Weather Network, and they were happy to add her "Silly Hat Forecast" to their weather line-up.
She loved the simple pleasures in life. Going camping in her Trillium trailer "Little Olive", was a great joy to her. She loved exploring and hiking, all over Canada. As long as Lorraine had a camera strapped around her neck - she was in her glories.
Lorraine is survived by her partner Elizabeth Earle, her mother: Helga Hillje (Schaeflein) , her sister: Jeannette and her two daughters and grandson, and her sister: Audrey (Warren) and their son and granddaughter.
She will be greatly missed by friends and colleagues all over the world
Cremation has taken place, a private family internment will be held.

Sorry for your loss, Elizabeth. She was a good woman. Darlene, my wife, had a great photography lesson with her in High Park years ago. Sorry to welcome you to the widows' group. I send you comfort and peace
