Mary Ann Hammill passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on June 18, 2021 in her 86 year after a short but courageous battle with cancer for the third time. Loving widow of Eugene Arnold and cherished mother to Howard (Andrea, Betty), Ross (Rose), Virginia, Eugene Jr. (Amanda, Tammy). Proud Grandmother to Lisa, Brenden, Jessica (Trevor), Steven, Liam and Matthew. Sister to John Turcotte and the late Archibald Turcotte (Sheila), aunt and dear friend to many. Predeceased by her infant son Murray and finally reunited with her extended family of Woodbine Crescent. Graduate of the St. Joseph's Nursing Class of '56 mother was a homemaker and caregiver to her friends on Inchbury Street her entire life. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the heroes who work at St. Peter's Residence at Chedoke, who made mom's last two years her loving second home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre, St. Peter's Residence Thrive Group or McMaster Children's Hospital would be appreciated. There will be a private family service held at Dodsworth and Brown Robinsons chapel at a later date.

I met Mary when I taught her Granddaughter Jessica several years ago at Strathcona School . She was one of the most sincere, kind and generous people I have ever known. I would like to extend my sympathy to the entire family, but particularly to Jessica who I remember fondly. Sincerely, Donna Day
