Mary LeBlanc Obituary

Mary passed away quietly on March 22, 2022, a few weeks before her 92nd birthday. Predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Edmond LeBlanc in 2015. She will be deeply missed by her children Donald (Janet Dionne) of Ottawa, James (Helen Keskula) of Hamilton and John (Marilyn Tobin) of Tors Cove, NL, and Theresa (Ross Macfarlane) of Fonthill; and her grandchildren Julia, Duncan and Iain. Predeceased by siblings Tom, John and Ann Finan. She is survived by her brother Joseph (Sandy) and sister Nora Deckert. Born in Hamilton in 1930, Mary lived most of her life in the east end, but lived at Villa Italia since 2005 and at Regina Gardens for the past few weeks.
Mary worked for many years as an administrator at Bishop Ryan Catholic Secondary School, at St. Thomas More Catholic Secondary School and at the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic School Board office. She was also an active member and past president of the CWL at St. Eugene's Church and frequent Lector at St. Eugene's. Remembered for her love of family, travel, and a love of reading which she passed on to all of her children, she had a beautiful smile and touched many people's lives. She will be missed by all who knew her.
