Becky passed away peacefully, at Atria Park of Lafayette, California on September 22 at the age of 68. Sadly she died at such an early age from the ravages of Early-onset Alzheimer's disease. Becky was bon on August 26, 1953, to Sam and Midge Ross in Dundas, Ontario, the youngest of 4 children. She will be missed by her sisters and their families, Marjorie (Don Rogers) and Judy (George Craig), her sister-in-law Patricia Ross and her many nieces and nephews. They always loved when their glamorous Aunt Becky came for a visit. Becky was predeceased by her older brother Andy. Becky lived her life as she wanted. She travelled west in her 20s and made her life on the West Coast, first in Vancouver and then in San Francisco. Becky had many careers- Bank teller, Waitress, Restaurant owner, Jazzercise instructor and finally as an Architect, the career she truly loved and excelled at. She was the first female to be named partner at her architectural firm. She loved her dogs, of which there were many over the years. They were her constant loyal companions and brought her true happiness. Her other passion was tending to her gardens, and they were all beautiful. Becky was a much-loved daughter, sister, aunt, a true friend to many, a successful Architect, and a mentor to many aspiring young architects. We will miss her very much, but we are happy that she is now at peace. Rebecca wished to have her ashes spread at the family farm where she spent many happy vacations with family which she loved very much. We will have a family service at a later date. If you wish to honour Rebecca's memory, a donation in her name to the Alzheimer's Society or a dog rescue organization would be appreciated.

I met Becky in 1970 at Neuchâtel Junior College. Although there were various 'circles of friends', for the most part all 100+ students enjoyed sharing adventures together (pubs after school, fall and winter weekend school trips, skiing in the alps, and our two major trips for Christmas and Easter). One fond memory was a spectacular day in Spain where we visited the Nerja Cave and the Balcony of Europe. I am attaching a photo of Becky on that Balcony. I am not attaching the photo of us partying in the hotel that night! My last email from Becky was in 2010 when she had to decline our class reunion in Switzerland. She was hoping to come to a future one and it was lovely to hear from her. Becky was fun and kind... she will be missed. My sincere condolences to all her family.
