It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Szydlo, surrounded by her loving family, on August 10, 2022. Mary will be deeply missed by her children, Greg (Denise), and Joanna, her grandchildren, Damian (Katy), Derek (Amber), Nicole (Vlad), Lauren (Mark) and her great-grandchildren Ava, Lexi, and Greyden. Mary also leaves behind her sister Jenny (Rudy), and many nieces and nephews. Mary is predeceased by her husband Andrew, and her parents Anthony and Josephine Pawelec. Mary had a love for the arts, and enjoyed spending her time painting and singing, creating works of beauty. She also had a passion for Cooking, which she wasn't shy about, especially after winning a cooking contest, and writing her own cookbook, Mary even created a new ice cream flavor with a famous ice cream shop. Mary was a woman of many talents, but being a mother was her favorite one. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Dr. Sawchuk and Dr. Young at Juravinski Hospital, as well as all of the amazing support and care staff of the ICU, who treated Mary like their own family, and showed nothing but kindness, compassion, and sympathy through-out her stay with them. Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Sunday, August 14th, from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - Hamilton, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton on Monday, August 15, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Burial at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Burlington.
