Michael JEFFERIES Obituary

Unexpectedly, passed away at Hamilton General Hospital, on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (nee Powell). Adored father of Kate Mandris (Vince) and Lauren Jefferies (Jaco Oosthuizen). Cherished grandfather of Paige. Dear brother of Brian Jefferies (Deb) and Susan Pitman (Colin) and brother-in-law of John Powell (Linda) and Rick Powell (Kim). Mike will also be sadly missed by many other family members and friends. Family services and cremation have taken place. A celebration of life will take place in the future. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to GBF Community Services or to the charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family. My mother and I are shocked to learn of Mike´s passing back in January. Our Deepest Condolences to all of you.
My heart hurts as we have been clients of Mikes since back in the 70´s, I think when he first was starting out! He helped my father, my mother, then my husband and I and then our boys!
Mike was one of the, "True Gentlemen", one of a kind and always made me feel safe and secure with the plans he suggested. He was fair and retained the old school manners that are not seen too much of anymore...sadly.
I will miss our holiday catch up calls.
My heart truly does hurt for you. Sending you a lot of warmth, strength and gratitude for this upcoming season. How lucky we were to have had such a gentleman in our presence.

Mike visited in our home a number of times, as well as many phone conversation's (he was probably calling to remind me to send a cheque :) ). Always a gentleman. Our hearts are heavy reading about his passing. A good man.
