TRACEY, Michael Announcing the peaceful passing of Michael ""Mick"" Tracey on Sunday, June 18, 2017 with his daughters by his side. Loving husband and best friend of Margaret for 42 years. Dedicated father to Victoria (Iain) Clarkson and Michelle (Jeff) Renaud. Treasured Grampa of Moya and Saphira. Survived by six siblings; Robert (Shirley), Patricia, Jeanette (John), Frank (Margaret), Ian, Brian and his beloved mother Florence. Michael will join his treasured wife Margaret in Heaven. Born October 10, 1949 in Partick, Scotland, Michael grew up in Drumchapel and was a keen Celtic supporter all his life. A football was never far from his feet. After immigrating to Canada with his wife and two daughters in 1975, Michael continued his soccer career with Sparta, Dundas United and the Emeralds football clubs. Hat-trick Mick was a loyal friend to everyone on and off the field. Supporting his family as an electrician at St. Joseph's Hospital, Michael found the time to champion his co-workers as the President of CUPE Local 786 for 25 years. Victoria and Michelle would like to sincerely thank all the staff at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton for their exemplary care of Michael. The support provided to the family was above and beyond and for that they are eternally grateful. Visitation at BAY GARDENS Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton , ON L8W 3M2, on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. with the Celebration of Life to be held in the Chapel at 3 p.m. Memorials may be made in Michael's honour to St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
