Muriel TURNBULL Obituary

November 11, 1926 - September 19, 2022

Muriel died peacefully at Margaret's Place Hospice in Dundas, Ontario surrounded by her loving family. Muriel grew up in Caraquet, New Brunswick. Second eldest of 10 children born to Fred and Janet Young. After completing high school, she went to U.N.B. where she met the love of her life, Robert Turnbull. Our mom leaves behind a full life; if they weren't skiing or playing tennis you could find her, Bob and their lifelong friends at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club, where mom was a lifelong member of 55 years. Avid member of the Hamilton Royal Botanical Gardens Society and Junior League of Hamilton. Muriel's bright smile, great sense of humour, and funny "one-liners" were a contagious part of her personality. Our mom leaves behind a life well-lived, full of laughs and wonderful memories. Beloved mother of William Turnbull (Calgary, AB), Janet Wordsworth and her husband John (Oakville, ON), and Susan Gertsch (Golden, BC). Grandmother of Jeff, Michael, Joel, Jessica, and Hunter. The family would like to give a special thanks to Debbie, DeeDee and all the wonderful, loving staff at Margaret's Place.

Don't remember me with sadness,
Don't remember me with tears,
Remember all the laughter,
We've shared throughout the years.
Now I am contented
That my life it was worthwhile,
Knowing as I passed along the way
I made somebody smile.
When you are walking down the street
And you've got me on your mind,
I'm walking in your footsteps
Only half a step behind.
So please don't be unhappy
Just because I'm out of sight,
Remember that I'm with you
Each morning, noon and night.

Rest In Peace, Nana.
Love You To The Moon and Back.

Bill, Janet and Susan, we're sorry to hear of your Mum's passing. She and your Dad were such great friends of Chuck and Nancy's. We last saw your Mum at Dad's 80th birthday party. We will be thinking of you.

So sorry to read about the passing of Moo. I always enjoyed speaking with her whenever she attended a get together, related to my parents Bill and Joan Black. She was always so upbeat and happy. I also have fond memories of your dad.
Nice to see she was with the Junior League. I too was with them.
My condolences to her family. I know this is a sad time for all of you.
Regards, Barb Oliver (Black)
