Nancy Silverthorn Obituary

It is with very heavy hearts and in loving memory that we announce the passing of our loving wife and mother Nancy Joanne Silverthorn. Nancy passed peacefully in her sleep, holding the hand of her much loved husband Al on March 14, 2023, at the age of 66 after giving it her all in her fight against cancer.
Nancy will be forever missed by what she would consider her biggest accomplishment, her three loving sons, Christopher (Ashley) Hill, Lucas (Samantha) Hill and Jeffrey (Rob) Hill.
Her world revolved around her boys, the only people you heard her dote on more were the grandchildren they gave her. Issac, Kay-Dee (Riley), Prescott and Blaize meant everything to Nancy. They will miss her immensely and will always remember their sleepovers, pool parties and Sunday dinners.
Nancy leaves behind her loving siblings Paul (Robert) Vickers, Linda (Jim) Sklepowich, Sharon (Randy) Arseneault, Kirk and Ronnie Mitchell far too soon.
She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews who knew the
door was always open and Christmas dinner would always be cooking.
Nancy and Al shared 32 years together, always enjoying one another's company, movies, parties, adventures, time with family and their much loved "fur babies" Gracie and Snoopy.
It gives her loved ones great peace to know that after fighting so hard Nancy is now able to rest and be reunited with her parents Sheila (McNeice) and Robert Vickers and her "fur babies" Ginna, Kat, Baxter and Jake.
Nancy fought until the end, she never gave up and remained resilient and optimistic. None of that would have been possible without Dr. Wasi and the wonderful staff at Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Center. A special "thank you" to the staff on C4 for being so supportive and loving to Nancy and our family, especially during the most difficult times.
We would also like to thank all of Nancy's friends and co-workers that supported her through this. A very special thank you to Gayle and Dan Armstrong and the team at Arctic Equipment for their
unwavering support to allow Al to spend time with and care for Nancy, it is more than appreciated.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Nancy on Saturday March 25, 2023, at the Hamilton Beach and Rescue Hall, 316 Beach Blvd, Hamilton, Ontario L8H 6W2 from 1 pm to 5 pm. Everyone who knew Nancy is welcome and encouraged to share the best times they had with her.
In Lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the HSPCA, Cancer Assist Hamilton or Juravinski Cancer Center in honor of Nancy.
