Natalio Sadsad, aged 85, of Hamilton, Ontario, passed away peacefully on December 29 , 2022 surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda and children Natalyn, Nathaniel, Nilda and his siblings Ising, Titong, Bong, Remi, Gary and Des. Predeceased by his siblings Carning, Fely, Ricky, Tony and Frank.

Natalio, also known as Tol or Nat, was born on December 1st 1937, to Lucas Sadsad & Angela Juico in Lubao, Pampanga, Philippines. After graduating from the Mapua Institute of Technology in 1962 with a degree in Textile Engineering, Nat immigrated to Canada. He worked 25 years at Stelco as a Mechanical Millwright while pursuing entrepreneurial projects in business and real estate. His impact on the community includes opening the 1st Filipino store in Hamilton followed by being one of the Founders of the Pilipino Canadian Association of Hamilton. Through their efforts, a Filipino school and a community center were opened. He was an active volunteer in fundraising and in supporting Filipino cultural events and sports associations.
Giving and sharing were cornerstones of his personality. Nat directly sponsored immigration for over 20 Filipinos into Canada and helped countless others by providing shelter in his home and helping others to find work. His generosity is unsurpassed and he became godfather to many children.

Throughout his life, he donated resources to his elementary school in San Augustin, Philippines. In recognition of his contributions, an annual feeding program was launched in his honor on December 1 2022 , providing food for 300 children.
In his spare time, Nat enjoyed fishing, gardening, travelling, cooking, and playing the occasional game of baccarat and horseracing. His most favorite pastime was spending time with his family and friends, and taking walks with his best friend Toby, a miniature dachshund.

Natalio's family will host visitation services on Tuesday, January 10 at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton from 2:00 - 4:00pm and 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Mass will be held at St. Margaret Mary Parish, 20 Idlewood Ave. Hamilton ON (905-388-2200) on Wednesday, January 11 at 11 am followed by burial services at Mount Hamilton Cemetery, 260 Rymal Road East, Hamilton. Donations can be made in honor of Natalio Sadsad to The Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
