It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Annunziata, peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the age of eighty-seven. Proud and loving mother of Dan and Christine Cianferro and Mara and Dan Pericak. Adoring Nonna of Alexa, Emily, Eric and Maya. Survived by her brother Gaetano Monaco and brother-in-law Joe Suffoletta. Predeceased by her long time husband Gaetano, sister Crescenza Suffoletta, parents Giuseppe and Maria Monaco and sister-in-law Anna Monaco. Annunziata will be dearly missed by many caring nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, friends and neighbours throughout Canada, The United States, and Italy. Her memories will always be cherished by all who have known her throughout her long life. She was always known by all as a baker and was always quick to respond to a call for cookies and pastries whenever there was a family celebration. The family wishes to thank the many relatives, friends, PSWs, especially Wilna, that helped her during her last few years. As well, a very sincere thank you for the care and compassion shown during Annunziata's final days to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Juravinski Hospital. Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East, on Wednesday, August 31 from 4 - 9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will take place on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. We ask that all who attend please wear a face mask. If desired, a donation to St. Anthony of Padua Church would be kindly appreciated by the family.
