Oliver Plunkett Obituary
It is with great sadness that the Plunkett family announces the passing of Oliver James Plunkett. Oliver passed on July 14, 2022 at his home with his family by his side.
Oliver (Ollie) is survived by his beloved wife Mary of 57 years, his son and daughter, Howard and Teresa, grandchildren, Sarah and Michelle, brother Bill and nieces Ann Marie, Catherine and Eileen, and brother-in-law John Brady, as well as his family in Ireland and England.
Oliver immigrated to Canada in 1965 and was a long time employee of Firestone and Michelin, was the treasurer of both The Irish Canadian Club, and the Stoney Creek Soccer Club Association, and the convenor for the Stoney Creek Minor Hockey Association. Oliver enjoyed his retirement years playing golf, travelling, and having a Guinness with his family and friends.
Please join us for Visitation, held July 23, 2022 at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Ave Dr., Stoney Creek, from 1-3 p.m. and a short service to follow.

We were so saddened to hear of Ollie's passing. We remember well his infectious laugh and happy nature that echoed throughout our home during the monthly Friday night card parties with Paul and his Firestone buddies! May he rest in peace.
