It is with deep sadness that the family of Pasquale Sanelli announces his peaceful passing on December 16, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife Antonia Sanelli (nee Ginnetti) of 62 years. Much loved father of Daniela (David) van Veen and Angelo (Lisa) Sanelli. Loving Nonno of Daniel, Alisa, Ashley and Patrick. Pasquale was born in Pacentro, L'Aquila, Italy to the late Carmine and Giulietta Sanelli. He is survived by his brother Mario (Sandy) Sanelli and sister Angelina Pantalone. Predeceased by siblings Adelina Silvestri, Liberatore Sanelli and Antonio Sanelli. As is the case with many Italian immigrants who came to Hamilton in the 50's, our Papa/Nonno worked extremely hard and through perseverance and sacrifice carved out a beautiful life for his family. Nonno was proud of his Italian heritage but also extremely honored to be Canadian. We are grateful that our Papa/Nonno showed us the true meaning of unconditional love and respect for all. We will miss you Nonno and your "storytelling sessions". The family would like to express their deep gratitude to all of Pasquale's caregivers for their exceptionally kind and compassionate care. As an expression of sympathy, donations to a Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated by the family. Rest in peace in God's loving arms. Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Tuesday from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, 63 Highway 20 East, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 10:00 am. Burial at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Cemetery, Stoney Creek.

My sincere condolences to your family!
I recently found letters written to my grandmother,Caroline Cercone DeSera. My grandparents didn't speak English well. The letters written from Mrs Carmine Sanelli were sent to elkland pa. I believe Giulietta was Caroline's sister. I only have 3 siblings and one DeSera cousin left.
