BASADUR, Patricia Marie Peacefully on Thursday, October 12, Patricia Marie Basadur travelled safety home to the warm embrace of her father Frank Rainis, her mother Blanche, and her sister Nancy Stevens. Patricia was the devoted and loving mother of Craig Morris (Alicia) and Michelle Vizzaccaro (Vince); and special G-ma to the man who lit up her life: her G-son, Jacob Vizzaccaro. Grateful for the ongoing guidance and support of Min Basadur. Patricia will be greatly missed by her younger sister Arleen Bessette, her brother-in-law Fred Stevens, her niece Elizabeth Stevens and her nephew Frank Stevens. Patricia was dedicated to enriching people's lives and had a lasting impact on all those whose lives she touched. She was a well-respected Special Education teacher with the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board for over 20 years. Having battled cancer, not once, but three times, Patricia was an active volunteer with the
Cancer Society - sharing her life experiences to educate and strengthen others during their journey. A mass and Celebration of Life for Patricia will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Regina Mundi Church, 631 Mohawk Rd. West, Hamilton. Mass: 1 p.m. and Celebration of Life: 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the
Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free. I'm following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call; I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way; I found that place at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss; Ah yes, these things, I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savoured much: Good friends, good times, A loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seems all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free.
