January 12, 1946 - March 12, 2023
With great sadness, we announce the death of Paul Jeffrey Frank Thompson after a brief battle with cancer. Paul will be deeply missed by daughter Tiffany Nadine Thompson and son-in-law Ray LaPierre. He is predeceased by father and mother Frank and Poppy May Thompson, and sister and brother-in-law Sonya May and Arthur (Bix) Bixel. He is survived by sister Patricia Gilchrist, nieces Wendy (Michael), Lisa (Rob), Pam, Laura (Ralph) and Tracy (Shona), and great nieces Melissa, Hilary, Sarah and Shanna. He will also be missed by many dear friends and extended family. Paul owned Thompson's Select Audio on Upper James Street in Hamilton which was well known for its impressive stereo façade. Paul was an avid glider pilot and long-standing member of the SOSA Gliding Club in Rockton, Ontario. After retiring from the audio-video business, Paul started a new career making bespoke hand-carved and gilded signs that continue to enrich our local communities. A memorial gathering is planned for Sunday, March 19th, 12 noon, at Circle of Life Cremation and Burial Centre, 100 King Street East, Dundas, ON (additional parking at the Air Force Club).
