Primo, Giannotti

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Primo at the age of 92 on Tuesday September 7, 2021 at St. Joseph's Villa with his wife Mary by his side. Primo and Mary were married for 68 years. Loving father of Eda (Sam) Cipolla. Adoring grandfather of Lisa (Carlo) Tittarelli and great-grandfather of Rocco Tittarelli. Brother of Dante (Pina) and Lino (Fern). Predeceased by his brothers Oriano (Carla) and Victor (Carla). He will be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. "Mr. Primo" was a long time employee of the Hamilton Wentworth Catholic School Board at St. Augustine's school in Dundas. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Augustine's Parish in Dundas at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday September 18, 2021. Interment to follow at St. Augustine's cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. Joseph's Villa would be appreciated. Special thanks to the staff on Willow Grove for the excellent care that he received.

Mr. Primo was a wonderful person. He made a difference in the spirit of St. Augustine's every day in his own way. He took pride in what he did and really cared about the school, the staff and the students. My mother taught there for many years and she would often quote things he said. I have many fond memories of him from my time there as a student. RIP Mr. Primo and God Bless.

My sincere condolences to the Giannotti family. I remember Primo fondly from my student days at St. Augustine’s - always gentle and kind with all us rambunctious kids. When my own children went to St Augustine’s, my son Nathaniel particularly thought the world of Primo. One day Nathaniel came home and told me sadly that Primo was going to retire and that he was going to miss him so much that he thought he would retire too! Primo truly was beloved!

Primo was the custodian when I attended st A’s in the 60’s and he was so kind and gentle. He made a difference in this little girls life. He went about his duties with dignity and a quiet pride , always such a gentleman. RIP Primo. Xo
