Rade Cavic Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rade (Roy) Cavic on Feb 10th, 2022 in his 71st year. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with mesothelioma. Beloved husband to Ljiljana, loving father of Vesna Vujovic (Milan) and Aleksandar Sasha Cavic (Shannon). Roy adored and cherished every moment he spent with his four grandchildren, Kasijana and Aleksandar (Vujovic), Maksim and Danilo (Cavic). He is survived by his two brothers Gojko (Evica) and Ljuban (Danica) of Serbia. He will also be sadly missed by all of his nephews and nieces in Canada, Serbia and Germany. He will be remembered by his kumovi and kumcici - Dancetovic and Savic families. Roy will always be revered for his countless contributions and his devotion to the Hamilton Serbian community. He was a long-standing member of the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church on Barton Street. Roy's love and passion for the Hamilton Serbian Soccer Club will be his enduring legacy. His many contributions will never be forgotten at Shady Acres in Binbrook and Ravna Gora on 5th Rd. in Stoney Creek. Many Hamilton Serbian SC youths and adults of past and future generations will reap the benefits of his tireless commitment and dedication. His selflessness and his love for his family, friends and community will never be forgotten.
Family will receive friends at the LG Wallace Funeral (151 Ottawa Street N - 905-544-1147) on Sunday, February 13 from 2 - 4pm & 6 - 9pm with Pomen taking place at 7:30 pm.
