Raymond Hachey Obituary

Raymond passed away peacefully in the presence of his family, one day shy of his 89th birthday, on Sunday, October 9, 2022. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Sylvana Hachey of 63 years. Loving father of Barry and Shawna, Steve and Kimberly and Mike and Laura Hachey. Ray loved his 6 grandchildren, Andrew (Amanda), Lise-Ann (Mark), Lyndon (Anne-Sophie), Quinn (Jonathan), Adam and Sarah and great-grandchild, Abbott. Ray was born in Tracadie-Sheila, New Brunswick in 1933. He was the son of the late Sylvan and Malvina Hachey. He was predeceased by brothers Simeon, Adelard, Vincent (Lise) and Anthony (Bessie) and sisters Louisa, Cecilia, Eugenie, and he will be greatly missed by his sisters Dorilla and Geralda. He will be lovingly remembered by John, Claudia (deceased), Robert, Josie, and Toni Lynch and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Ray loved making people laugh, Hank Williams and cold beer. He will be remembered for his great sense of humour, his love of being on the water, fishing with his grandkids or boating, and his complaining about bad cards in Euchre. As per Ray's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Resurrection Cemetery in Ancaster. Dear Family of Mr. Ray Hachey,

I am saddened by the loss of Ray as he was a wonderful person whom I had the pleasure of knowing, along with his late wife Sylvia, for over 20 years. His outlook on life and the joy he found in his family were something special to see when I would meet with him, and his ability to make me laugh is something I will remember for a long time. I am sure that his family will miss him dearly, but he leaves behind many wonderful memories for them to cherish. Now is reunited with his beloved wife Sylvia, May he RIP.

Please accept my sincere heartfelt sympathy.
