Dear Bill and Pat,
I don't remember where I was June 19, 2020. For that I am sorry. But somewhere later, I made the connection that you had lost your Regan. I tried to make a connection with you but seemed always not to be able to find you. My brother Ken also tried through the Teacher's assocation. I also tried through Alan Drummond without success.
I think that as concerned as I was for you, I was caught up in my own "muck heap, my battle with cancer". For that, I apologize that I gave up.
I saw the memoriam in the Spec and then I saw Mark on CHCH. So here I am trying again to reach you. Please know that I have prayed for you and can only imagine your grief.
I would like to be in touch with you to offer condolences in person, and maybe even reconnect.
My prayers for you and my love and virtual hugs to you both and to Mark whom I don't think I have met.

I first met Regan in 1970 when she sat beside me in Grade 10 math in Westdale High School. I would help her out from time to time, and she was always appreciative. After graduating, I met her a couple of times at different high school reunions over the years. It was a shock to hear of her death, and an outrage that it happened in this way.
You will be very much missed Reagan by so many. I am glad to have known you, albeit not as well as many others. You had the courage to speak out for the voiceless -- the animals that merit much more dignified treatment than we humans are willing to give them. Your work will live on, and I trust that you are now with God in a manner we can only imagine.
To those of you in Regan's family, and to her closest friends: my sincere condolences. Your loss of such a beautiful soul is a heavy burden to carry. May God give you strength as you move forward.

The Beatrice Watson-Acheson Foundation would like to express our sincere condolences to all of Regans family.
Regan was a dedicated, caring and compassionate Kindness Program teacher. She and Lily, (and Livia) taught our Humane Education Program for more than a decade, retiring in 2008 to pursue her many other animal welfare pursuits.
As a Kindness teacher, Regan's passionate and knowledgeable Kindness presentations, touched the lives of thousands of young children and adults in the schools of Hamilton, Brampton and Mississauga.
Our entire Kindness teaching staff, past and present, and our Directors, Nancy, Carolyn, Gordon and Glenda, will fondly remember Regan for her long-time work towards the betterment of all animals. She was a passionate teacher and mentor, and a wonderful friend to all animals, people and the environment.

Most of us didn't know Regan but we are feeling this pain because we actually do know her.
She became known around the world for the right of all creatures.
She inspired the thousands around the world.
She left us as with Power.

I am gutted by what has happened to Regan . I met her in 2004 when she staged a home I was selling. She was so tactful with the Seller and kind. She came with Mark to my first big gig I remember them cheering me on. She had strong beliefs and always walked the walk and talked the talk. Not sure if I will ever encounter a more selfless person.
She opened my eyes to the abuses of animals right here and for that I am grateful

I knew OF Regan but I did not know her personally. Regan's life long dedication and compassion for animals inspired me to keep fighting the good fight for animal rights. I am in awe of her commitment for animals that were suffering and helpless. She is an inspiration for all of us animal advocates who want justice for abused and neglected animals.

Wow, what a beautiful life.
Honestly, her tragic death broke my heart even as a stranger. She must have been such a lovely woman and its such a shame the world is now without her. When her story went viral I couldnt even look at her sweet photos without starting to cry. She deserved so much better. My heart goes out to all of her family. May her memory live on forever. Her life has touched mine.

I never had the chance to meet you but I am sure if we had we would have felt soul sisters in the fight to end the animal holocaust. You gave them a voice throughout your life and even more so in your tragic death.

I didn't know Regan, but everything I've heard of her makes me wish I had. I have never had the courage to face the animals headed into slaughter. My mother was reading an article in the paper about her death to us, and started weeping. I'm so, SO incredibly sorry for your loss, and the loss of such an important, compassionate member of the entire animal community, two-legged and four-legged. I'm agnostic, but I am sure that if there is a God or a Heaven, she will be greeted with such love. I am vegetarian but have struggled to go vegan for years--now I want to cut down on dairy not only for the animals, but in Regan's honour. Rest in peace and happiness, knowing that you are an inspiration to people all over the world who love animals, and that you lived a truly meaningful life. I'm sorry I never met you ;(

My deepest and heartfelt condolences to Regan's family and friends. I did not know Regan very well but I had the opportunity to chat with her last year at a Westdale re-union and learned that we graduated the same year. She also told me about her advocacy for animal rights and showed a few pictures of her involvement in this cause. I know that Regan was held in high regard by many because of the causes she supported so vigorously and the type of person she was. I hope that those who knew Regan well can take solace in the fact that she will be remembered fondly by many, especially those who continue the fight for animal rights. May she rest in peace.

Regan was a wonderful friend and mentor to me. She was truly one of the most decent people I've ever met. Her commitment to both animal and human rights was the focal point of her existence. She was purposeful in her actions and loving in her heart. The marginalized and downtrodden lost a very special heart in their fight for equality but the loss has emboldened the rest of us to step it up for Regan and her causes.
