Rennie VAN BERKUM Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother, Rennie (Ringjen) Van Berkum, nee Walsweer, on October 7, 2022, at the Village of Tansley Woods after a fierce battle with Dementia. The family wishes to thank Judy, Carolina, Mandeep, Mollie and all of the staff for their care and kindess. Rennie was predeceased by her husband, Howard (Halbe) Van Berkum (2007) and by her six siblings. We take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering and that she has now been reunited with those who have passed before her. Rennie is survived by her daughters Grace (Gary), Jean (Paul), Susan (Kevin d 2019), nine grandchildren and many extended family members. As per her wishes there will be no funeral and a private celebration of her life will be held at a later date with those who loved and cared for her. Donations in honour of Rennie may be made to the Alzheimer Society. Messages of condolence may be left online at www.earlyfuneralhome.com

God saw that you were tired
When a cure was not to be
So He wrapped his arms around you
And whispered,
"Come with me"
You didn't deserve what
you went through
So He gave you rest
God's garden
must be beautiful
He only takes the best
And when I saw you sleeping
So peaceful and free
from pain
I could not wish you back
To suffer that again.
(Frances Coehlo 1939)
