Richard COUGHLAN Obituary
Ric will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Coughlan (nee Kelly); devoted father of Margot (Bruce) Overholt, Lynn (Mark) Jolly, Karen (Tim Bond) Coughlan and Beth (Quinn) Carter; proud grandfather of Rebecca, Kayla, Benjamin and Drew; and dear brother of Betty (Mike) Cummings, Suzanne (Joe) McKenna, Carole Graham, Art (Lynne Evans) Coughlan, Tom (Joanne) Coughlan and Joan (Phil) McGarvey. He will also be missed by the Kelly sisters-in-law and husbands; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ric was a proud Maritimer born in Saint John, New Brunswick. He was an avid baseball fan, a loved husband and father, and a grandfather that took great pride and joy in his grandchildren. Ric was still working in the lighting industry in his 80th year and had an unparalleled work ethic.
Visitation will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of the QEW),
Burlington on Wednesday, October 5th 2022 from 3:00 - 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00pm. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Paul the Apostle, 2265 Headon Rd, Burlington on Thursday, October 6th 2022 at 10:30am.
For those who wish, donations in lieu of flowers in Ric's honour to Canadian Cancer Society or Diabetes Canada would be sincerely appreciated by the family.

Ric recently did our lighting design at Halton Waldorf High School. He was a true gentleman, was passionate about his field, had incredible knowledge and insight. He was incredibly patient with us through our many design iterations. The beautiful lighting in our building is a testament to his care and expertise. On behalf of Halton Waldorf School, I would like to extend our condolences to Ric's family and friends.
