I found this notice when I was thinking about my own childhood memories about growing up in Ancaster during the 1960s. Rob and I both went to Maple Lane Middle School. Although Rob was a quiet child in those days, he had an inner 'fearlessness' that would often show itself outside of class. He had no hesitation of walking or cycling for miles to visit or to set out on one of our 'adventures'. A couple of times during snow storms, he would show up at our ranch on Butter Road on his family's "Husky Snow Machine". He was only 10 years old! Different times. I have many fond memories from my early youth and Rob certainly contributed to many of them. Rob, may there continue to be the smell of wind in your coat. I won't end this by saying "Rest In Peace", just wishing you well on your new adventure and journey. - Brad Bandow

I came across this obituary by accident and I was shocked and saddened to learn of Robbie´s passing. We were friends back in the day of riding horses at Oakrun Farm in Ancaster in the mid 70s. Robbie was always sweet and lots of fun. My condolences to everyone in his family. May he Rest In Peace.

We´ve laughed at a lot of memories we had together with Rob and our siblings. An experience was going to a go kart track with him, and driving (somewhat wild) until you´re asked to leave although it was the last lap! Will miss you!
