Robert William "Big Roy" Copeland

Roy passed away peacefully on May 3, 2023 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Joyce (nee Dempster) for 63 years. Loving father of Greg (Karen), Kathy (Chris) and daughter-in-law Nancy. Predeceased by his son Glenn and mother Dorie Gamble "Nana". Adored grandfather to Lindsay, Lindsay, Staci, Josh, Kate, McKenzie, Andrew and Maggie. Great-grandfather to Brody and Wyatt. Loving Brother to Lynn Maslen (Geoff) and Irene Birch (Gary deceased). Roy retired from Stelco's carpenter shop after 38 years. He was an avid golfer and a long time member and marshall at King's Forrest. Roy lived a full life and will be deeply missed. Special thank you to the nurses and the entire staff at Juravinski Cancer Centre ICU for the kind care and compassion given to Roy. Cremation has taken. Memorial Service will be held at King's Forest Golf Club, 100 Greenhill Avenue on Thursday, June 8th from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Canadian Cancer Society.
