Robert "Red" Hampson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bob on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, in his 94th year. Born in Hamilton and was proud to grow up in Brightside. Bob was the beloved husband of the late Anne for 69 years. Loving father of Bob (Annette), Ron, Vicki Corbin (Bill), Ray (Josie), and the late Michael. Proud grandad of Ryan (Lacie), Erin Jess (Mark), Tyler (Amanda), Ashley, Breanne, Sierra, Michael, Nicholas, the late Billy and great-grandad of Kailyn, Ruby, Pearl, Margaret and Charlotte. Dear brother-in-law of Nick and Bill Pelowich. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters. Dad retired after 43 years of service with Stelco and enjoyed many years of teaching at Mohawk College after retirement. Dad will be remembered for his honesty and willingness to help others. He was a jack of all trades. If he couldn't fix it, nobody could. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek, on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 1 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 5 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation to follow.
