Robert James LAING

LAING, Robert James 1944 - 2018 Entered into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Jean (nee Donaldson) for 48 years. Loving father of Stephen (Brigitte) and Jonathan (Pamela). Predeceased by his infant daughter Heather. He will be sadly missed by his brother-in-law Malcolm Donaldson (Elizabeth) of Brechin, sister-in-law Mary Donaldson (the late James) and his many nieces and nephews. Bob was a founding member of Trinity Baptist Church and served as Treasurer. He was also an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, Burlington. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Joseph Brant Hospital, local police, fire department and Dr. Carling-Chambers. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Monday, November 19 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. where a Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, November 20 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
