Robert MANLEY Obituary

1959 - 2023

With great sadness, we announce the passing on March 17th, of our much beloved Robert at St. Peter's Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. We are thankful that he is now at peace and free from pain. Robert is predeceased by his dear mother Elizabeth and is survived by his father Don, brother John, sister Dawn, nephews Charlie and Griffin, and nieces Julie and Natalia. Robert was extremely talented in many areas. He possessed natural artistic and musical talents and had exceptional skills in photography and computer programming. He enjoyed doing videography for the Hamilton music community. Robert was a contract computer consultant for many years and enjoyed a successful career in IT at Dofasco and Enbridge.
Robert enjoyed life and would have loved a beer or two with his many friends on March 17th, St. Patrick's Day. Robert was very outgoing with empathy for others and after retirement he was active in assisting those less fortunate with housing and financial issues and promoting systems changes. We wish to extend our thanks to Matthew and the palliative care team at St. Peter's Hospital for their compassion and excellent care. Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

We love you forever Rob and know that God will care for you.

Robert was a wonderful person who was generous at heart, empathetic, an overall wonderful person. He always had concern for those going through medical issues when he had his own issues to deal with. I loved his photography. I'll miss our chats. I know he's out of pain. Fly with the Angels Dear Robert.
