Roderick Hock

1968 - 2021

Our hearts are shattered as we announce the sudden passing of Roderick Hock on Monday, July 26th, 2021. Lovingly remembered by his wife, Heidi, and his children, Devin (Madalsa Banerjee), Geordie (Kelsey Pfeifer), Brandon & Madison. Loving brother to Julie Moreland (Ed Schumaker) & Dianne Fleury (Andre). Son in law to John and Mary Katerberg. Brother-in-law to the Katerbergs: Robert (Elese) George (Michelle Smit) John (Sarah) and Marti. He will be dearly missed by many friends. Predeceased by his parents Eldon and Frances. Rod graduated from Mohawk College as a machinist and moved on in his career to various supervisory positions. Rod had many hobbies. He loved to outback camp and white-water canoe with his kids. He was an avid model builder. He enjoyed working in his shop and was an excellent craftsman at wood working and metal working. He shared his enthusiasm and expertise and was always willing to lend a hand to family and friends. He loved his vegetable garden and the birds who visited his birdhouses. A memorial service has taken place.
