Rosemarie D'OLIVEIRA Obituary

With such heavy hearts we announce that our dear, sweet, kind Rose passed away after a long, hard, courageously fought illness at Juravinski Hospital. She was born in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. The much-loved daughter of Lilith (Leung) and Gabriel D'oliveira (dec). Beloved sister to Ronald and Helen D'oliveira. Rose will be tremendously missed by her extended family, and her very dear friends. A graduate of The University of Guelph, Rose worked for many years at The Hamilton Physiotherapy Clinic. Then later in The Cardiac Health and Rehabilitation Centre (CHRC) at Hamilton General Hospital. Always the patient advocate, she loved helping others. She did it cheerfully, compassionately, enthusiastically. She served as Ontario Kinesiology Association (OKA) Regional Chair (2003-2006) and was awarded OKA Volunteer of The Year Award (2004). She passionately loved baking and cooking and delighted in making edible treats and would be thrilled when others gleefully devoured them. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Canadian Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, 1349 Main St. W, Hamilton, Ontario. If desired, memorial contributions to Sick Kids Foundation (sickkidsfoundation.com) would be sincerely appreciated by the family. I knew Rosemary at work; she was always helpful and kind. She was always missed when she left the CHRC department. Rest in peace
