Russell James DOUGLAS

In His infinite wisdom and at His appointed time our gracious God called home Russell James Douglas at the Juravinski Hospital on Oct. 10, 2022 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Karen for 50 years. Much loved father of Amy (Raj), Scott (Josie). Proud grandfather of Maddy, Liam and Chloe. Special brother and brother in law to Robert (Astrid) and Joan Bristo. Beloved uncle to his nephews and nieces. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Agnes. Russell was a lifelong dairy farmer. He made friends wherever he went and had a gift for setting people at ease and making them laugh. He was a proud member of the "hayfesters" and the "gang". Russell lived his life devoted to faithfully serving his Saviour, his family, and his friends and he will be dearly missed. Special thanks to Dr. Garcia-Horton, the staff at the Juravinski chemo unit, the C4 staff and to his caring PSWs at home. Visitation will be held in the MILLER FUNERAL CHAPEL, Caledonia, on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. followed by the service in the Gateway Church (15 Haldimand Rd. 66, Caledonia, ON N3W 1N7) on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 11 a.m. Interment in Caledonia Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Gideons, Caledonia Foodbank, Gateway Church or to a Charity of Your Choice.
