Ruth Bryant Obituary

Passed away peacefully on May 24, 2022 in her 94th year with her family by her side.

Beloved wife of the late Garry (Barney) Bryant. Dearly loved mother of Rob (Eleanor), Sue (Mike), Scott, and Cathy (Randy). Dearly loved Grandma of Kaylie, Kellen (Shirlene), and Stephanie (Roger) and GoGo to Jake, Anna, and Cate. Dearly loved Great Grandma to Keir.

Predeceased by her beloved parents, Louise and John, dear sister Doris, and brother-in-law, John.

Loved by everyone who met her, Ruth will be dearly missed by her many friends.

Born and raised on a dairy farm in Woodstock, Ontario, Ruth was a dedicated Registered Nurse with Hamilton General Hospital and later the Caroline Medical Group in Burlington. Strong in her faith, she was a devoted member of West Plains United Church in Burlington.

Sweet-natured, Ruth will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, humour, and compassion, as well as her love of jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Most of all she be remembered for the love, laughter, and joy she brought to all who knew her, especially her friends and family. She will be missed every day.

The family wishes to thank all the staff at Joseph Brant Hospital and Carpenter Hospice for their care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Carpenter Hospice or West Plains United Church can be made in Ruth's honour.

We send our sincere sympathy to Ruth´s family, especially to her children and grandchildren of whom she was so proud and whom she loved deeply. Ruth was a gentle and kind person who always approached others with compassion and caring. Fond memories of Ruth will linger among those of us whose lives were touched by her.

Very sorry to hear of Ruth´s passing. We have fond memories of both Ruth and Garry, especially in the later years when we saw them at the cottage. Ruth was a very warm and caring person who got great delight from and felt much pride in her family. She will be missed for her friendly nature and her welcoming smile.
