Sami Samaan SIDHOM

SIDHOM, Sami Samaan October 29, 1941 - December 26, 2019 After a long battle with cancer, Sami passed away at the age of 78. He will be lovingly remembered by Marie-Th?rèse, his wife of 51 years, his sister Suzette, his children Christine (Ehab), Patricia and Marc Anthony, his grandchildren Jacob and Suzanna, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him. Sami was a graduate of Collège St-Marc in Alexandria and of Alexandria University. He immigrated to Canada in 1968. As a mechanical engineer, he spent most of his career with General Electric/Camco, and retired to become a consultant and mentor to many. Sami will be remembered as a wonderful husband and father as well as for his generous soul and vibrant sense of humour. He was known as a dapper bon vivant, who enjoyed travel and tennis among other interests. He also never missed a chance to remind his children to ""be good"" and led by example. Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 2nd and Friday, January 3rd, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m., at Bay Gardens Funeral Home , 1010 Botanical Dr, Burlington, Ontario. The funeral will take place on Saturday, January 4th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mina's Coptic Orthodox Church, 1562 Rymal Road East, Hamilton, Ontario, followed by interment.
