Samuel SPEIGHT Obituary

SPEIGHT, Samuel Sam passed away at home surrounded by the love and support of his family on December 16, 2017 at the age of 78. He met his wife and best friend Shirley 32 years ago and together they created wonderful memories for their family. Sam is survived by his cherished daughter Penny (Doug) Fraser and step-daughters Valerie Fyke (JP), Debi Schnitchen (Bev) and Andrea Schnitchen. He will always be remembered by his grandchildren D.J., Jake, Nick, Lauren, Matthew, Skylar and Pierson. Also survived by his brothers Carl (Gail), Larry (Peggy) and Ron (Elva). Predeceased by his son Tony Speight and parents Ronald and Joan Speight. Sam had a wonderful group of friends many of whom he looked forward to seeing during coffee time at McDonalds. He worked on the railroad for 50 years, first with the T.H.& B. and later C.P. Rail where he retired as a conductor. Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 20th from 6-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of service in the Chapel at 12 o'clock. If so desired, donations to the Douglas Memorial Hospital Auxiliary would be appreciated by the family.
