Sharon Muir-Toni Obituary

Passed away peacefully, August 5, 2022, in her 73rd year. Born June 29, 1949 in Hamilton, Ontario. Most loving partner and best friend to Dennis. Predeceased by her parents Bill and Betty Muir. Sharon is survived by her sister Pennie Wirth and nephew David. Sharon will be missed by her family blessings, Doug, Shelley, Alan, Jim, Cheryl, Lisa, Lorelei, Shari, Amanda, Aaron, Dallas, Derek, and Skye along with many great nieces and nephews. She taught them to believe in their selves, stay strong and smile often. Sharon was a passionate woman holding strong to her beliefs, protecting those she loved, and always doing for others. She held the position of Executive Assistant at McMaster University with honour and loyalty for 37 years. She took great pride in her garden, specifically her Rose of Sharon plants, the flower representing the object of deep affection with eternal blossom from heaven that never fades. Sharon alongside Dennis shared her love and opened their home to all. She enjoyed reminiscing family stories when spending time with them. Dennis wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Cook and the dedicated staff of St. Joseph's Hospital Intensive Care Unit for their compassionate care and support. Cremation has taken place. In Lieu of flowers, please donate to the Kidney Foundation.

We are sad to hear of Sharon´s passing. During the time we spent volunteering with Sharon and Dennis at Battlefield Park, Sharon always showed her sense of humour and common sense. Sharon didn´t let her health issues deter her sense of adventure as she travelled with Dennis and family. The Toni family supported Dennis and Sharon through these last months. Although we prayed for a different outcome, we are happy that she is free from pain. RIP Sharon.
