Shirley BOAG Obituary

Shirley peacefully departed her loving family on January 27th in her eighty seventh year. Shirley was one of two daughters born to Marjorie and Frank Carter in Belleville on July 24, 1935. She is survived by her husband of sixty-seven years, John Michael George Boag and her four children, John Boag (Tara Stanford), Lynn Boag, Mark Boag (Lynn Tan) and David Boag (Gail Ethier) and many grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Shirley is predeceased by her sister Marjorie, her parents, and her son Paul. The joy, love and memories that Shirley blessed us with will forever be in our hearts. Her passion for nature, bird watching, her animals, cats and dogs (especially Jacob and Marley), cards/games, travel, relationships with her family and friends will be greatly missed. A Private Family Service will be held at Grace Anglican Church, Waterdown. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hamilton Burlington SPCA.

Just called Shirl, no answer. I am so very sad to see the news that Shirley is gone. I loved her to bits. We had the greatest chats of all time. She had a heart of gold.

We purchased 2 kittens from Shirley and John about 25 years ago. They were beautiful platinum burmese One for \Johns brother (Charlie) and our dear Missy...She was 18 years old when she passed away. Shirley's love for her animals was a prominent factor in finding homes for her litter of kittens. She even dropped into our home in Carpo On. Since that time my John and Shirley kept in constant touch by e mail.....jokes and all....I,m sure her friends and family will miss her.
