It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Simone Antoinette Theriault on August 4, 2022, with family at her side. Simone was 93. Loving wife of Fernand Theriault (late). Cherished mother of Denis (Corry), Carmen (John Sibley), and Lise (Peter Luvisa). Devoted Memere to Caroline (Logan), Solange (Doug), Alex (Sarah), Raymond, Eric, Madeleine and Julianne. Great grandmother to Maelle, Everett and Caleb. Simone was a much-loved daughter to Leo and Laurette Lepage (late) and sister to Roland Lepage (late) and Monique Hill (late Elwood "Spike" Hill). Best friend to Mary Whyte. Loving friend and grateful companion to Janyce Robinson. Simone was a spectacular mother and grandmother who was devoted to her family. She loved travelling. She enjoyed bowling, shopping, morning walks and coffee at the mall. She was an excellent listener who made friends easily and always provided comfort and care to her loved ones. She had a contagious laugh and made the most delicious blueberry pie. A special thanks to Chartwell Willowgrove staff in the Battlefield Park unit for the love, compassion and care you all showed our mother in her final month. A funeral mass will be offered at Notre-Dame-du-Perpetuel-Secours (132 Blake Street in Hamilton, ON) on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 11 a.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery (254 Garner Road West in Ancaster, ON) with a reception to follow (location to be shared). In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Simone's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Alzheimer Society of Canada. Rest in peace maman, we love you forever and always.
