The family of Stanley Ernest Shell is saddened by his passing, in his 92nd year, while in residence at St. Peters at Chedoke Long Term Care, on September 22, 2022.
Stanley is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Christene (Phillips-Wilde) Shell. She will miss him dearly.
Left to mourn his loss are his daughter Cheryl Shaver (Jim) and his son Gregory Wilde (Barbara deceased). Predeceased by his son Garry Wilde and daughter-in-law Cathy Wilde.
He is survived by grandchildren Joe Shaver (his buffet buddy), Robyn (Shaver) Downie and Adam Shaver; Kelly (Wilde) and John Hogeterp, Amy (Wilde) and Mark Poloniato; Garry Wilde, Christene Wilde, Christopher Wilde and eight great- grandchildren.
Also survived by his sister Faye Genno (Gerald) in Orillia and nephew Steve Dunlop (Marg) of Alberta as well as his close cousin JoAnn Mills (Jim) of Orillia. Predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Verna and Gordon Dunlop.
Stanley was a longtime employee and retiree of Dofasco.
Arrangements have been entrusted to M.A. Clark Funeral Home and respecting Stanley's wishes cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will be planned at a later date. On-line condolences are welcomed and appreciated.
The family thanks the staff at St. Peters for their thoughtfulness, care, support and patience during Stanley's stay, in particular throughout the unprecedented and challenging circumstances of the COVID19 pandemic. You helped to make his day, every day.
