STEPHEN VERNON LEACH, UE

April 28, 1951 - October 14, 2021

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Stephen Leach, cherished husband of Susan, beloved father of Jeffrey and Matthew, adored father-in-law of Erynn and devoted grandfather of Cohen, Scarlett and Lelaynna. He will be missed deeply by his brother Philip Leach and sister Peggy Dalley. Steve was a loving uncle of the Right Reverend Susan Bell, Bishop of Niagara (Thomas), Christopher Dalley (Karen) and Melissa Dalley.

Steve was proud of his United Empire Loyalist heritage. He was a valued employee of Dofasco for 40 years with a wealth of friends there. Above all, Steve loved his family. He will be missed and held dearly in our hearts.

Sad to hear that Steve passed away. I remember meeting him at #1 Hot Mill when I started as a student in the early 1970's. He was always a dedicated and energetic worker. It was a great comfort to me that I could rely on him to help close down #1 HM before he moved over to Utilities. Over the years, he help developed some talented electricians who went on to a great careers at Dofasco.
Steve will be missed mostly by his family but also by his friends and co-workers. Rest in Peace, the fight is over.

We are saddened to hear of Steve's passing. Steve will be fondly remembered by the neighborhood kids on Elm St. as a man who never passed up on a game of hockey or a chance to go swimming. Steve was a fantastic role model for many. Rest In Peace "Reggie"

So saddened to hear of Steve's passing. My condolences to his wife and children and to all his extended family and friends. I have known Steve since our days in the North End and playing road hockey and touch football. We went to separate high schools, but again were together when Dofasco gave two young kids a chance. Our final years we worked in the same department until we retired together. It has been an honour and privilege to have known Steve and I will cherish all our memories. May you rest in peace my friend.

Really good guy, he played hockey with us for the #1 Hot Mill Canadiens.
A co-worker that would give anyone a hand. Always had a chat when we ran into each later in our careers.
