Stephen PARTON Obituary

It is with shattered hearts that we announce the passing of Steve Parton on March 11, 2021 at the age of 49. Steve leaves behind his beloved wife Isabell, and his children Blake and Meghan, whom he adored. He will always be lovingly remembered by his mom Andie and his stepfather Steve, by his brother Chris (Cathy) and sister Jennifer (Shane), as well as by his nieces Katie, Rebecca, and Lauren, and by his nephew John. Steve will also be missed by his aunt Marie, uncles Frankie, Tony, Roly, and Pierre, and by his many friends. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Hotte, Dr. Kapoor, and Dr. Slaven, of the Juravinski Cancer Center for their compassion and dedication, and to the VON nurses who cared for Steve. Due to Covid restrictions, a private funeral will be held (live streaming of the funeral will occur Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.), and a Steve-size celebration of life will be arranged when all of his numerous friends and family can join together to remember him and to play music. In lieu of flowers please be kind to each other, in Steve's memory. Live streaming at stpaulsdundas.com Condolences, memories and photos may be left at www.circleoflifecbc.com

Dear Andie,
I’m so very sorry to hear of Stephen’s passing. I remember your 3 young children when we would travel to college together. I heard that Stephen had music in his soul and was very talented. Please pass my heartfelt condolences to your family and know that I’m thinking of you.

We first met Steve nine years ago when his brother, Chris, was dating our daughter, Cathy. During our many family get-togethers, we learned of Steve's musical talents. We hold a fond memory of visiting Isabell and Steve in Dundas and listening to how Steve started to play the guitar at a friend's suggestion.
From his first cancer diagnosis in October 2013, we were so impressed with Steve's courage over seven and one-half years as he endured operations and multiple treatments, which he documented in his two authored books.
We will miss Steve at our future family gatherings but will always remember him as a courageous, talented, kind and gentle man.
Lou & Evelyn.
