Susan Gemmill Obituary

At Hamilton General Hospital, on Monday, December 26, 2022, Susan Angela Gemmill, dob May 15, 1945. Lovingly remembered by her husband Bill, brother Richard (Penny) Cartwright, sister Jackie (Mel) Iovio, nieces and nephews Chris (Ann) Cartwright, Jen (Peter) Grech and families and Julia Iovio and Greg (Stephanie) Iovio and family. Sue was a retired teacher/librarian with the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board and an avid gardener with many Trillium awards. Sincere thanks to the staff and doctors at the Hamilton General Hospital, the Neurosurgical Step Down Unit and the Stroke Unit. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held later. If desired, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family. Bill, we were so saddened to hear of Sue´s passing. We have many wonderful memories of Sue both in school and out. Such a lovely, fun, witty lady who will be dearly missed. Hard to believe it was so many years ago that our lives crossed paths, but the memories have lived on. Take care, Bill. Our thoughts are with you.
