Susan LEAKER Obituary

Passed away at Alexander Place on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at the age of 73. Beloved wife of George. Loving mother of Matthew (Juliet). Proud Nana of James, Olivia, and Alee. Cherished sister of Cathy Bator (Michael). Dear friend and teacher to many. During her three-and-a-half-year battle with the effects of a stroke, she taught us the meaning of courage, of dignity and of grace. Hers was a life well lived and she will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Please remember her fondly. The family would like to thank the kind, compassionate and caring professionals at Hamilton Health Sciences and particularly at Alexander Place in Waterdown. We were fortunate to have you in our lives even briefly. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local hospital, hospice or long-term care home. They are all staffed by some of the finest people in our society and they provide so much to those in their hours of need. Arrangements entrusted to SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, BURLINGTON (905)-632-3333.

We were very sorry to hear of Susan's passing. For a short while she was our mothers table mate in the dinning room of Alexander Place and she was very kind to our mother. Whenever we saw Susan while visiting Alexander Place she would always smile and say hello. We will keep George and family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
