Theodore Startek Obituary
Ted passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. After saying goodbye to his loving "wifey", Sharon (nee Reinhardt) of 54 years, sons, Tyler (Melany), Geritt (Jenny), and Nathan (Mariessa), Ted was greeted by his predeceased son, Adam, in heaven. He will be greatly missed by his treasured grandchildren, Jacob, Nicki, Thomas, Trinity, Chance, Zachary, and Quinn. Ted had immense pride in all their accomplishments and spoke of them often, with great love and joy.
Ted will be fondly remembered for his generosity, kindness, willingness to help and of course, for his sense of humour, as corny as it was. He was a motorcyclist, trivia buff, karaoke singer, artist and budding musician, taking up the ukulele late in life.
He leaves behind his brother Ron (Rose), sisters, Christine (Dan), Patty, Brenda (Don), Barbara (Brad) and special bro, Cliff (Wai Yee) and sis, Linda, as well as brothers-in-law Al (Marlene) Reinhardt and Glenn (Kim) Reinhardt. Ted will be sadly missed by his many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends, who will undoubtedly be left with many fond memories including camping in tents and campers, cottaging on Lake Rosalind, fabulous all-inclusive resorts, cruises, and tours. Ted enjoyed his Twenty Place community, especially those close connections he formed with his Phase 9 neighbours.
Thank you to all the dedicated medical professionals who helped Ted over the years. He was especially fortunate to have a wonderful family physician, Dr. Ross Allega, who went above and beyond throughout Ted's care. Thank you to the wonderful staff at the Hamilton General Hospital for your care and compassion.
Funeral arrangements have already taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Good Shepherd of Hamilton in Ted's name.
