Thomas HAYLOCK Obituary

Tom was in his 8Oth year and sadly passed on April 18, 2022. He was Stelco retired, 37.5 years of service. And I quote "When my time comes, I'm just not going!" said Tom! If a cat had nine lives, well Tom had more! He fought against Alzheimers with all his great strength. But, in the end, it proved to be all too much. We looked after Tom at home for over three years wearing many hats! Food and Beverage Dept, Road Trip Dept, Entertainment Dept and more! Tom and Betty enjoyed a journey together for almost 60 years. Sons Tom(Gina), Bob and daughter Nancy(Chad) added pride and joy to the family. A lot of great memories made to last a lifetime and then some. Family, friends and helping others were so dear to Tom's strong heart. He wanted to stay in the background. Not be the star of the show! (But he did sing with Paul Anka once! Oops!) So, accordingly Tom did not want a service nor visitation. Our message to other families: Pick up a camera/video camera and Make Memories! Our sincerest condolences to Betty and family. Tom was a very kind and gentle soul. He had a great sense of humor and was a pleasure to attend to his dental needs. We thoroughly enjoyed his visits to the practice and he always had a kind word to say and an interesting story. Our thoughts and prayers to Betty, Nancy, Tom and Bob. God bless.
