Veda St. Lewis Obituary

Veda St. Lewis passed away peacefully on September 13, 2022 at St. Joseph's Villa in Dundas, she was in her 83rd year. Veda was a loving and devoted wife to Vivian St. Lewis (predeceased August 2020). She is survived by siblings Masworth Carlton, Leetie Jones (nee Carlton), Avanelle Joseph (nee Carlton), children Donna Constantine (nee St. Lewis), Michelle Pride (nee St. Lewis), stepson Ian St. Lewis, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins both near and far. Veda was a long-standing member of Emmanuel and Mount Hamilton United Churches. She served faithfully on both choirs and church committees for many years. Veda was employed by the Ministry of Health for over 20 years where she made many lifelong friends and acquaintances. She was an avid seamstress who loved to cook, play cards, and always enjoyed a game of Dominoes. Veda will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. Special thanks to the Nurses and support staff of the Birch Unit at St.Joseph's Villa. Visitation will take place on Friday, September, 30, from 5-8 p.m. at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage, Hamilton, ON. Funeral Service, Saturday, October 1st at 11 a.m., Emmanuel United Church, 871 Upper Ottawa St. Hamilton, ON.
