Veronica GIONET

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, grandmother and aunt, Veronica Gionet in her 85th year, peacefully surrounded by family. Veronica will be missed by her children Pat, Robert (Jonna), and Wayne (Mary), her siblings Tom (Diane), Dave (Janice) and Maureen (Jim), her grandchildren Andrew, Kayleigh, Christopher, and Vanessa, and many nieces and nephews. Veronica is predeceased by her parents Bob and Vera Allen, and siblings Bob (Olive), Don, Lynda, and Stewart (Theresa). Veronica graduated from Cathedral Girls High School in June of 1953. She later went on to work for Royal Insurance, as a dedicated employee for over 20 years. Veronica will be remembered for her love of baking, knitting, and spending time at her trailer with her family, her passion for life will be truly missed. Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Monday, April 4, 2022, from 5:00pm - 6:30pm and from 7:30pm - 9:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 416 Mohawk Rd E, Hamilton, on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Cemetery, 681 Mud St E, Stoney Creek. For those who wish to donate in Veronica's name, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
