There are some people that are a constant in our lives and you think that they will be there forever. When I retired over 8 years ago, bridge was something I considered but having learned to play back in university, I didn´t think I had much to learn. Was I wrong. Not only did Vijay get me to look at bridge in a different way, he inspired me to look at life as well from a different perspective. He was not aware of the influence he had....he was just a very caring and resourceful person who made everyone feel that they were important. Thank you Vijay for being you and for all of the fond memories.

Vijay was a very special person in our lives. He was a brilliant bridge teacher with an incredible sense of humour and his classes were so much fun (often at our expense!). I will never play a hand of bridge without thinking of him and all the rules and regulations he painstakingly taught us. We feel very privileged to have known Vijay and will always treasure our memories of him. Our condolences to his family. June Findlay & Ken Herrington

Vijay taught me bridge many years ago and was a wonderful teacher. He had patience, and a touch of impatience which endeared him to his many students. A charming gentleman who will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure to meet him. I am certain his early passing will be a great loss to his family. Just thinking of him, makes me smile. What a legacy!

Talk about a memory!!! As instructor in Burlington, Vijay could glance at your 13-card bridge hand---just a glance---and return 5 minutes later to recall exactly what you held in your hand---this among twenty players in the class.
