MORRISSEY, Walter It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Walter Morrissey on May 28, 2018 after a courageous battle. Beloved husband of Arlene for 52 years. Cherished father of Janice (Jeff Treffry) and Sharlene (Shawn Wilson). Devoted and loving grandfather of Larissa, Chloe, Sarah and Adam. Predeceased by parents Bernard and Cecelia Morrissey and brothers James, Julian and Kenneth. He will be missed by siblings Bernadette (late Hank), Eileen (Ron), Esther (Jim) and Brendon (Marlin) as well as sister-in-laws Mary, Peggy and Shirley (Gord) and his many nieces and nephews. Walter will be remembered for his kindness and adventurous spirit. He was a successful Hamilton businessman operating Morrissey Insulations for many years. He was an active proud member for 30 years and Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 5860 as well as a Fourth-Degree member. Many thanks to Dr. Shott and the C4 Nursing team at Juravinski for the care he received. Family and friends will be received at Bay Gardens Funeral Home 947 Rymal Road East Hamilton (905-574-0405) on Thursday, May 31st from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church 50 Brucedale Avenue East on Friday, June 1st at 10 a.m. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery to follow.
