Wayne McNally Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Wayne McNally announce his passing on May 3, 2021 at 68 years of age. Beloved husband of 45 years to Colleen. Cherished Father to Heather (Shane), Bill (Dakota) and Kathy (Mike). Loving Papa to Ashley, Paige, Wesley, Chayton, Morgan, Carson, Harper and Theo. Wayne was eagerly looking forward to the birth of his newest granddaughter, Lilly, later this month. Predeceased by his parents William and Carmlee McNally. He will also be sadly missed by his brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends. He was our "rock", and we will miss him dearly. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service for Wayne will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to L.G. Wallace Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Niagara Health Foundation or to Laidlaw United Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.

We had the pleasure of knowing Wayne, as a neighbour and friend, for many years. His love of Colleen and their family was central to his life. We will remember Wayne as a humble, genuine, and hard working man who was interested in others and never too busy for a friendly chat. He was a role model for us all. He will be greatly missed.

Wayne was such a wonderful neighbour and family man. We enjoyed Wayne, Colleen and their family as our across the street neighbours. Wayne was very devoted to being the "best grandpa" and we witnessed that. He found such JOY with his grandkids. Wayne was a very dedicated employee who worked very hard at whatever he did. Wayne had such a nice way about him that one felt welcomed when you spent time with him. He never seemed to be in a rush to leave the conversation. We can only imagine what a loss it is for the whole McNally family. Our deepest sympathy, Lynn and Ray Varey

Wayne was the epitome of a truly Professional Administrator. Warm, friendly, fair and balanced. It was an honor to have known and worked with him in my role as a HDSB Trustee.... and as a good friend. He will be missed by many. Cheryl Craig
